Enjoy a ride around the lake on one of our rowing boats, Swan, Dragon, WV Beetle or Tamaran Pedalos - pictured here. We have provided information below about hire times, boat types and rates at Lakeside Boating.

We want everyone to have a fun on the boats, but your safety is paramount and so is the welfare of other lake users, so please take some time to also read about our boating rules and terms and conditions here.

Hire Times

March to October

Monday-Sunday 11am to 5:30pm
Please note the boating lodge may close for all or part of a day when there is severe adverse weather.

Hire Charges

Boat hire is for half an hour and each boat can carry a maximum of four people. The hire charge is based on the total number of passengers, although we do operate a minimum hire fee for each boat and offer concessions to families. All children aged 2 and under go free.
